About

Hi, I’m Andy Bliss.

I build with LEGO® bricks, and I write down how it’s done.

The work runs three ways. I build — a permanent city, standalone dioramas, and a sixteen-foot minifigure wall made of bricks rather than bought in acrylic. I curate — the collection is catalogued and displayed as a designed object, and the method lives here in the Display Guide. And I interview other builders, because the least-documented part of this hobby is the thinking behind the models.

I’ve exhibited with Knoxville LUG for years: Brick Blast each spring, and Fantasy of Trees every Thanksgiving week, the children’s hospital fundraiser that kicks off Christmas here. I was at Brickworld Chicago in 2024 and 2025, and I’ll be back in 2027. In April 2026 I finally made it to the LEGO House in Billund.

You won’t find reviews of whatever arrived this week. This is documentation of work in progress, conversations with people who make things, and the reference material I wish had existed when I started.
